Ever since Ed Furey and Ted Dremel Sr., I supported every candidate that promised the people and myself that would remove the terribly expensive consulting firm. As of today, Applied Technologies are still the town's engineering and contracting firm.
Out town has spend $88 an hour plus the road superintendent to engineer (mark) the yellow lines from the hwy to the double lane in the Eagle Lake Manor. After this service, the town paid the Racine Co. hwy. dept. to spray the paint. I feel that the money spend on Applied technologies for this project could have been put towards the betterment of our community.
On top of this all, Britton Road between Hwy C and Church has one of the steepest hills and does not have any yellow lines or no passing signs.
Even though the following story is not about our town, we can still learn from it.
